Clean on the inside... Most folks take pretty good care to make sure the things in their lives are clean for the most part. We have car washes for our cars, dog washes for our dogs, all kinds of ways to clean our homes and not to mention the infinite amount of personal hygiene products available to help us stay clean. While this is all well and good, it only addresses the outsides. Car washes don’t keep the inside of our cars, the engine, transmission, and other parts in good working order. All the personal hygiene products make us pretty on the outside and good healthy foods keep us healthy on the inside. We do these things daily and pretty much have habits and routines for our grooming and nutritional needs. What about our spiritual nature? Just how do we keep that clean and pretty? Maybe it’s different for you but, I have discovered that a daily dose of God’s Word along with time spent in prayer with Him keeps me in tune with Him and running smoothly… Check your experience… “The only condition is that he trust in God and clean house.” Big Book pg 98 Lord, let us clean ourselves daily on the inside with Your Word and Your Holy Spirit, AMEN. “After Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee asked Jesus to eat with him. So Jesus went in and sat at the table. But the Pharisee was surprised when he saw that Jesus did not wash his hands[a] before the meal.
