Change your thoughts and change your world… If we can change our thoughts, we can change our attitudes. If we change our attitudes we can change our actions. If our actions change then our behaviors follow. Finally if our behaviors change, then so do our habits. It starts with us folks. We need not let the actions or influences of others control us and no matter how good it looks on the TV or the internet does not mean we HAVE to HAVE it to be complete! God gave us free will for a reason in order t allow us to consciously make our choices and decisions based on what’s in our hearts and not dominating our mind’s eye at the moment. … Check your experience. … “The persistence of this illusion is astonishing.” Big Book pg 30 Lord, let us be transformed by seeking Your will daily and not falling to the illusions of the material things f this world, AMEN. "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2 Have a blessed day y’all! Great way to start your day or to recharge yourself during the day…. He sees everything… I love watching people. I learn so much from others. It’s interesting to me to watch folks as they interact with others. My experience has been that different situations bring different actions and behaviors. For instance at the fast food drive through the focus is on the order, as both the attendant and the customer are centered on the purchase of a pre-established menu item, pretty much a no brainer. Then there is the grocery store and the need to be in the shortest line. The type A personality verses the passive is fun to watch. The Type A will go all out directly to the short line and heck with whomever has the misfortune of being in their way, while the passive personality will be aware of others and see the type A and clear out of the way letting them go first. My favorite is the unexpected assist. Just last week I observed a mom with a toddler attempting to fit all of her bagged purchases into one hand while deftly grabbing car keys and freeing the other arm to hold the baby because the cart would not go outside of the store, while shoppers ignored her and moved around her as they exited the store. She almost went into shock when I asked her if I could help. After the shock wore off, she saw my smiling wife and figured out quickly I was not a psycho stalker, but she politely refused and gave us a heartfelt thank you for caring enough to ask. Remember folks, keep the eyes of your hearts open to see who the Lord puts in your path. It’s always good to offer assistance for the right reasons… Check your experience… “It depends on us and on our motives.” Big Book pg 70 Lord, let us perform good deeds with the only motive of being of service to others and not for personal gain, AMEN. “In the same way, the good deeds of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light.” 1 Timothy 5: 24-25 Have a blessed day y’all! Finish what you started. ... It's human nature (self will) to want to ease up near the end and let our efforts slide. Most folks are aware of this and combat this feeling by reaching down deep (God's will) to muster the needed energy and focus to finish strong. How are you finishing your tasks, duties, and commitments? ... Check your experience… . "Half measures availed us nothing. We stood at the turning point. we asked His protection and care with complete abandon." Big Book pg 59 Lord give us the drive and presence of mind to seek Your will in our efforts to finish strong, AMEN "Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have." 2 Corinthians 8:11. Have a blessed day y'all! Freedom comes from helping others… Just a thought to share as we remember our fallen and those who have gone before us this weekend, freedom is not free. We all need to give it away in order to keep it. … Check your experience. … "For you have been called to live in freedom-not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love for the whole law can be summed up in this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Galatians 5:13-14 Lord thank you for showing us over and over again that we are truly free when we are serving others from our hearts with love, AMEN. “We are sure God wants us to be happy, joyous, and free.” Big Book pg 133 Have a blessed day y’all! It’s a 3 day weekend with lots of BBQs, sales, travel, and even a traditional race in the Hoosier Heartland. Just a suggestion, but take a moment, when you can, to remember and say a prayer of thanks to those who willingly and bravely gave their lives in order for us to remain free and safe. Last I checked we are still ‘One nation under God’. … “There had been a humble willingness to have Him with me -- and He came.” Big Book pg 12 Lord thank you for our freedom and bless those who have fallen while they served our country to protect us, AMEN. “The memory of the righteous is blessed,” Proverbs 10:7 Have a blessed day y’all! I can't. ... HE can. ... I think I will let Him. ..... The pressures of everyday life can become overwhelming. Especially when we fall under the worldly illusion that we must do it all alone, by ourselves and perfectly. Friends please know that you are never, ever, alone! The Holy Spirit lives in our hearts and will see us through times of stress and uncertainty. Have you tried allowing God to carry those heavy burdens? ... Check your experience. ... Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 Lord remind our hearts in times of stress and heaviness that You are with us and ready to shoulder the load, AMEN. Actions bring results … Perhaps you are free of this, or have no issues with it, but it’s an age old twist on our thinking that causes a lot of us to become resentful, jealous, envious, or even bitter. We want people to judge us by our intentions while we choose to judge others by their actions. It’s another condition of being human. The solution is pretty simple. We must own this twist of thinking and correct it through our own actions and efforts and not our intentions. Think about it, are we able to see the results of others or our own intentions? I INTENDED to lose weight…. I INTENDED to get my college degree…. I INTENDED to be a better husband and father….. It carries no lasting effects. Only actions on our part brings the desired and needed results. … Check your experience. … “It is easy to let up on the spiritual program of action and rest on our laurels.” Big Book pg 85 Lord let us put actions behind our efforts to be better people, seeking Your will and not our own, AMEN. " Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John 3:18 Have a blessed day y’all! If we just only had our own “Easy” button… Remember those Staples commercials with the “Easy” button? Wouldn’t it be great if we all had one of those? It seems life would be so much more manageable if whatever we needed changed, fixed, or done could be handled by just pressing the Easy button. Unfortunately, that is not how it works, unless you are a toddler! We have to put in effort, willingness, and old fashioned work in order to survive and grow. This is a spiritual principle and sometimes we forget this. The Bible has a few examples where Jesus asks impaired and sick folks if they want to be well. He immediately heals them when they say yes, but like Paul Harvey used to share, there is always the “rest of the story” that we need to know in order to be able to understand the healings. These folks demonstrated faith, hope, and willingness long before Jesus came to heal them. This is why he healed them because he knew that they had put in the hard work and the HEART work ahead of time to prepare them to receive His healing. How’s that working out for you? Are you just sitting on the sideline wishing and waiting for Jesus to fix you or your situation or are you doing something daily to demonstrate your faith by providing the needed willingness and effort to show you are doing your part?.. Check your experience… “Yet they got well.” Big Book pg 110 Lord, let us provide action daily to show our willingness to change and grow closer to You and Your will for us, AMEN. “Would you like to get well?” John 5:6 Have a blessed day y’all! Keep pressing on… Have you noticed how much more automated our lives have become? From the GPS systems in our devices and cars to the “smart” appliances that can alert us to when they need attention or restocking, we now have more things than ever that can do our thinking and work for us. While automation is a nice convenience that allows us to focus our time and attention on other matters, how do we keep our focus on our spiritual growth? I enjoy my daily Bible study along with the spiritual tools and devotions that are delivered to me daily via email, but I remain grateful that I still have to apply the humble willingness to study and learn daily. Applying what I learn in the Word to my life daily helps me to keep walking with Jesus and pressing on toward His will for me. Thank goodness I have not automated this part of my life! This would block me off from the sunlight of His Spirit and I could become lost in the illusions of this material world. How about you? What parts of your life have become automated that perhaps are removing you from growing spiritually?.. Check your experience… “The point is, that we are willing to grow along spiritual lines.” Big Book pg 60 Lord, let us not automate our daily time with You in the Word, AMEN. “But I press on” Philippians 3:12 Have a blessed day y’all! Try a little kindness. …. This is probably not seen too much these days and certainly not reported very often in the news media, but kindness covers a multitude of anger, hurtful, and just plain lonely feelings. Perhaps you have already been the receiver of an act of anonymous kindness. Just last week a friend shared how they were pleasantly surprised to learn as they picked up their daily Starbucks order at the drive through window that the unknown person in front of them had paid for their coffee. I dare you to give it a try! Do something anonymously for a random stranger or for a loved one. See how you feel afterwards. Remember, it’s not about being seen doing this, it’s about serving others with no expectation of a return. I promise you that the indirect return you get from this is better than you can imagine! Go on…You can do this! Then…..Check your experience. …. “Were we kind and loving toward all?” Big Book pg 86. Lord, let us show our love today through kindness to those around us, AMEN. ”Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Good looking out. ... Have you ever noticed that the best things come from ideas and actions focused on helping others? The internet came from 2 guys trying to have a quick and simple communication system for their company. 2 brothers wanted an easier way for folks to get from point A to point B and air flight came about. A few folks wanted to worship Jesus without persecution and America came to be. ...It's the same in our lives. We (hopefully) are walking a path of good that our children wish to follow. We volunteer with others to help those who are not as blessed as we are right now. Good things come from looking out for others. How are you intentionally looking out for others? ... Check your experience. ... "...do not think of what you will get out of the occasion. Think of what you can bring to it." Big Book pg 102 Lord open the eyes of our hearts to let us see those You would have us help, AMEN. "Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others." Filling food… Most folks I know are doing a better job these days of choosing better foods and meals. Just like having the proper fuel for our cars, it’s important to have the proper fuel in the form of nutritious healthy food for our bodies. Slowly the fast food chains are getting this message and it’s possible to get a sort of healthy meal from them if there are no other healthier options, but for the most part, fast food, like sugary snacks, are full of empty calories that fool our bodies and leave us more hungry as well as tired. It’s the same in our spiritual nutrition as well. We can fool ourselves and load up on man-made words and spiritual “junk food” that require no action on our part and make us feel momentarily good about ourselves. Unfortunately, like fast food, this leaves us hungry and thirsty in our souls. We can get true spiritual nutrition daily by turning our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand Him and feast on His Word daily… Check your experience… “A new life has been given us or, if you prefer, "a design for living" that really works.” Big Book pg 28 Lord, let us feed spiritually on Your Word and the Holy Spirit, AMEN. “Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35 Have a blessed day y’all! Daily devotions with the Big Book and Bible combined! It seems we have seasons for everything in our lives. We have clothes for the changing seasons. Heck even Arizonans have a jacket in the closet somewhere! We have football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and other sports seasons. We even have seasons that we can put on our food to spice it up or change the flavor. What about our lives? It’s a common to hear that folks are “going through a season” when there is change or challenge in their lives. Change is inevitable for all of us. It’s part of being human. However, it’s how we deal with the change and the seasons in our lives that helps us grow spiritually. Maybe it’s different for you, but I have learned to embrace change over the years. I may still bristle when it comes unexpectedly, but I clear my mind and remind myself that I turned my will and life over the Lord when I got sober, and that frees me from pride and fear taking control of my thoughts and actions. What about you? Does change bring resistance and lock you in a battle with your self-centered feelings and pride preventing you from growing? Perhaps change ignites fear inside of you, shutting off the Holy Spirit and trapping you within your closed mindset. Or maybe you embrace change knowing there is a lesson to be learned and the outcome will make you a better person. … Check your experience. … “Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change.” Big Book pg 84 Lord, thank you for the seasons in our lives that help us to grow in spirit and understanding. Please give our hearts comfort and our minds relief in times of change, reminding us that You know what is best for us and will NOT give us anything we cannot handle, AMEN. “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 Have a blessed day y’all! Another way to see things….. We use our eyes to see all that this world has to offer. That’s part of being human. We are also equipped with another way to see. Our Spiritual nature inside of helps us to see in a different way. We cannot see the air we breathe, yet we take it for granted that it’s here. We naturally take it for granted that when we flip a light switch the light will come on and when we put the key into the ignition the car will start. This comes from FAITH. We learn by doing and by feeling. This is how we develop our spiritual eyes. Now it’s a fact that we all crawl before we walk. So we cannot develop spiritual eyes overnight. Like the air we breathe, light switch, and the key in the ignition, we build up a continued and familiar experience over time that allows us to believe it will work. It’s the same with our faith. We have to build on it and grow it so that we can rely on it in times of uncertainty… Check your experience… “In this book you read again and again that faith did for us what we could not do for ourselves.” Big Book pg 70 Lord open the eyes of our hearts through building and growing our faith in You and Your Word, AMEN. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7 Have a blessed day y’all! Did you know that Furniture Bank continues to serve many families, veterans, elderly, and individuals in need throughout the greater Phoenix area? Planting seeds in hard ground…. If you have ever gardened or worked with your yard, and especially if you live in Arizona, you learn pretty quickly that the ground here is pretty hard and not too compliant when it comes to yielding to a shovel, spade, or a hoe. We learned that in order to plant, we first have to treat the ground here with water, over and over to get it to soften and become workable. The more we work with the ground, the deeper we can dig to allow more room for the plant to take root and grow. It’s the same with our hearts when it comes to accepting change. Now maybe it’s different for you, but I have learned from experience that until I can soften my heart and become willing to accept needed change and allow it space in my heart, nothing changes and I remain hardened inside. When I soften my heart through willingness and allow God’s grace and guidance to plant the needed seeds of change, it comes and I grow. … Check your experience... “His change of heart was dramatic, convincing, and moving.” Big Book pg 55 Lord, let us become willing to allow our hearts to soften to accept the changes You have for us, AMEN. “Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns.” Jeremiah 4:3 Have a blessed day y’all! Daily devotions with the Big Book and Bible combined! Paperback and Kindle versions are now available!! Don't judge a book by its cover. ... Looks can be deceiving, especially when we allow our judgement to be based solely on what we initially see. Perhaps it's different for you, but I have shared before how my magic magnifying mind likes to trick me into trusting the ideas it generates on its own just for me. It pays to learn more of the story before we pass judgements. Years ago when I was living and working at the Salvation Army, we had this very small man named Joe. He walked funny and had a hard time finding words so it was easy to pass him by as another needy and hopeless cause. However as I got to know Joe and hang out with him, our friendship grew and I learned that he was a power lifter in the gym and before he had a stroke in his mid-20's, he was a college graduate with a promising career in engineering. Joe taught me and others to use the gym safely and encouraged to me to get my college education and pursue God's calling on my life. I am glad I took the time to get to know Joe before he went home to the Lord. He helped me a lot. Any "Joe's" in your life where you don't know their story? ... Check your experience. .... "We let God be the final judge." Big Book pg 70. Lord open the eyes of our hearts so the we can see those You send to us, AMEN. We GET what we GIVE…. As we celebrate Mother’s Day, a great example of unconditional love is seen in a mother’s love for her child. Because we are human, it’s a part of our DNA to unconsciously and naturally seek unconditional love. Most of us spend our lives seeking it and never quite finding it. Perhaps it’s because we are looking with the wrong motives. We GET what we GIVE. That is a spiritual principle. In my experience I have only received unconditional love when I am in a mental, spiritual, and emotional state to give this. I have learned I must give unconditional love in order to be able to receive it. God loves us unconditionally but until we are willing, we cannot receive His love. It’s the same with our relationships here on Earth. Until we are willing to give love unconditionally, we cannot receive it. … Check your experience…. “Love and tolerance of others is our code.” Big Book pg 84 Lord thank You for loving us unconditionally. Please open our hearts with Your Spirit to enable us to be willing to give love unconditionally so that we may receive it, AMEN. “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you;" Isaiah 66:13 Have a blessed day y’all! I can't. .. HE can. .. I think I will let Him. .... We humans are amazing creatures. We are blessed with this gift called free will and we dress it up and disguise it to ourselves and others as "will power ". We attempt to do many impossible things with it and sometimes we even succeed and then allow ourselves to believe the delusion that we did it all by ourselves. The truth is that while yes it does take will power to go to work, make a meal, and participate in the lives of those around us, more often than not, we are the recipient of God's blessings and will for us when the bigger things happen. Take a moment today and look at all the good things around you and in your life. Are they really ONLY from your will power?... Check your experience. ... . "Lack of power that was our dilemma. We had to find a power by which we could live, and it had to be a Power greater than ourselves." Big Book pg 45 Lord, we thank you for the blessings in our lives that mainly come from You when we turn our will and lives over to you, AMEN. "Then Job answered the LORD and said, I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted." Job 41: 1-2 Have a blessed day y'all! Spring cleaning... Summer is just around the corner and most of us have thought about and perhaps even engaged in some form of Spring Cleaning. Maybe we cleaned and organized our homes, moving the clutter and no longer needed things to the trash. Some of us might even have looked in our clothes closets and removed our winter garments to make room for our summer wardrobe. Out with the old and in with the new is our Spring Cleaning motive..... What about the clutter of fears, resentments, anger, and other things in our hearts and minds that hold us hostage and block us off from the Son-light of the Spirit? Isn't it time to clear these self-centered thoughts and emotions out of ourselves? It's a spiritual principle that when we find ourselves angry and or hurt by people, places, things, and or situations it's because there is something spiritually wrong inside of us that needs to be attended to and corrected or cleaned if you will. .... Check your experience. ... . "Continue to watch for selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear. When these crop up, we ask God at once to remove them." Big Book pg 84 Lord let us open our hearts and minds to be cleansed by your Holy Spirit to remove any and all fear, resentment, anger, and self-generated pain, AMEN. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…. Have you ever noticed the fruit produced tends to depend on the health of the tree? Trees that are given ample water and in well maintained soil produce the best fruit. Trees that get little water and are located in not so fertile soil don’t produce much fruit and the fruit that is produces usually does not compare in quality to a healthier tree. If you think about it, our lives are the same way. When we are connected to a healthy, positive, and nurturing spiritual, emotional, and physical environment, we tend to be healthy for ourselves and others. When our surroundings are full of negativity and all kinds of chaos, we struggle to receive the spiritual food needed to be healthy… The apple does not fall far from the tree! How fertile is your environment?.. Check your experience… “His roots grasped a new soil.” Big Book pg 12 Lord, let us surround ourselves with a fertile environment filled with love, grace, and growth, AMEN. “I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.” John 15:5 Have a blessed day y’all! Daily devotions with the Big Book and Bible combined! God gave us free will for a reason in order to allow us to consciously make our choices and decisions based on what’s in our hearts and not dominating our mind’s eye at the moment. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you,” Romans 12:2 Have a blessed day y’all! Solid as a rock… Have you ever noticed how buildings are constructed? They usually start with a very solid and firm foundation. Next follows steel, iron, or whatever sturdy and strong material is used to build the frame. The point is that things that are built to last are built upon solid foundations. It’s the same with our lives. When we build our lives on a solid foundation of spiritual principles including, love, grace, tolerance, honesty, hard work, healthy relationships, and service to others we wind up with a stable, secure, and vibrant life. What are the principles you are using for the spiritual foundation of your life?.. Check your experience… “Have we skimped on the cement put into the foundation?” Big Book pg 75 Lord, let us build our life upon the foundation we have through our faith and trust in You and Your Word, AMEN. “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11 Have a blessed day y’all! There are many things that attempt to influence our thinking. We are surrounded by not only the opinions and habits of those we love, but also the outside influences of society, jobs, and culture. Our ability to see, hear, and seek instant information also adds to the funnel of influence that wants to influence us. This adds to the chaos shared about yesterday. So how do we survive the storms of influence in this sea of life? Perhaps you have found your solution, but what I finally learned from my own experiences is that when I subtract my need to satisfy my self-centered will and not allow my fear of whatever to drive my thoughts, I am clear to seek God’s will for the person, place, thing, or situation I am trying to cope with. Not only does my day go better, but also I am filled with a sense of peace and security from the inside…. Check your experience…"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you,” Romans 12:2 Lord, let us seek your will for us and not be taken hostage by the worldly clamors that attack our self-will, AMEN. “Our thought-life will be placed on a much higher plane when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives.” Big Book pg 86 Have a blessed day y’all!! www.FaithThroughWorksFellowship.org

"THEY" just don't understand.... Most of my early life, I was under the impression that "THEY" knew best and we should always try and please "THEM". I spent a lot of confused years trying to make THEM happy and wondering who THEY were. Finally, I had my spiritual awakening and turned my will and my life over to God and I no longer needed to worry about pleasing THEM or THEY! I have found grace, growth, and abundant life through my daily walk with God. I still don't know, who THEY or THEM are and I no longer care. ... How about you? Are you spending countless frustrating hours daily in trying to live to please THEM hoping THEY are happy with you? Or are you seeking God's will daily?.... Check your experience. ... "...if only people would do as he wished, the show would be great. Everybody, including himself, would be pleased." Big Book pg 61 Lord please let our hearts remind our heads that we can't please others through our own will power and we are not responsible for others happiness, AMEN. “It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.” Proverbs 29:25 Have a blessed day y'all! Are you "salty" enough? .... Salt can change, preserve, and add value to what it touches. But it is up to us to use it—or not.... We can use way too much salt and that can be bad for our health as well as those we cook for. We can also ignore or choose not to use salt and that can also have negative effects on us and others. We are given talents and gifts to use. Like "salt" we can use these way too much or not at all. How are you choosing to use the "SALT" of talents and gifts in your life? Are you changing, adding value, preserving, or just not using it? ... Check your experience. ... "Keep on the firing line of life with these motives and God will keep you unharmed." Big Book pg 102 Lord let us use the salt of the gifts and talents You give us to enhance our lives and others, AMEN. "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?" Matthew 5:13 Have a blessed day y'all! Daily devotions with the Big Book and Bible combined! The “inner-net’ connection… Plugged in, wired, and networked are terms we associate with our communications these days. I am just glad I no longer need to figure out how to “interface” with folks! Wi-Fi and internet are the connections we seem to chase the most these days as we rely more and more on social media to get our “message” out there to “build our brand”. It sure feels like we need to constantly be networking ourselves to others in order to stay connected in today’s world. How do we stay plugged in to the things that keep us grounded, stable, and secure? What about our internal connection to God and the Holy Spirit? I am grateful that I have been shown and taught to seek quiet time daily, and even hourly at times, to connect with God to stabilize my heart and quiet my mind. When I do this, I become grounded and connected in the right way that makes my day go in the direction it needs to instead of more out of control. How are you keeping your inner connection solid?.. Check your experience… . “In nearly all cases, their ideals must be grounded in a power greater than themselves,” Big Book pg xxviii Lord, let us seek Your grace and guidance daily to be grounded securely in your will and not fall victim to the illusions of worldly clamors, AMEN. “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15 Have a blessed day y’all! It ain't for sale.... Just about anything we could possibly want or think we need is available instantly these days. From the basics of food, shelter, and clothing to instant fixes from pills, powders, and motivational mojo, we can get it instantly with our bank cards and money. Maybe it's different for you but I have learned the hard way that none of my flaws, defects, or shortcomings can be fixed instantly and from purchasing that latest thing they hawk on the TV or internet. My weight loss is coming only from daily physical, spiritual, and mental work along with proper Keto eating and my KRA 12 Step Program. My fears and pride are only managed through a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance and growth of my spiritual condition. I know I cannot buy my grace from God. He does not offer it for sale but He gives it to us for free when we become willing. ....Check your experience… "What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition." Big Book pg 85. Lord thank You for giving us Your Holy Spirit freely when we become willing to receive, AMEN. "And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, 'Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.'" Let’s throw a little light on the subject…… Light sure makes things easier for us. We have different lights for different needs. The sunlight is necessary for all living things. Light bulbs give us access, safety, and convenience in our daily lives. It’s part of our culture to use the term “throw a little light on the subject” when we want to draw attention to something. Have you considered how we use the Lord’s light in His Holy Spirit? When we walk in the light of the Holy Spirit, our path is illuminated with grace, hope, and we find ourselves in the company of fellow believers and not so alone anymore. Try turning on the light of the Holy Spirit next time you feel alone or confused. It will amaze you how different things look and feel in His light! … Check your experience. … “I must turn in all things to the Father of Light who presides over us all.” Big Book pg 14 Lord, let us continue to seek and dwell in Your light as we seek Your will and grace daily, AMEN. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another” 1 John 1:7 Have a blessed day y’all! Change your mind… Have you ever noticed how much our minds tend to magnify the things that are fear driven? It's human nature for this to happen but it’s sad to see so many of us get caught up in these delusions that are created in our minds as we hold onto these thoughts and let them grow in size and strength. There is no need to become a prisoner of our fears. We can break free of fear’s hold on us by simply changing our minds. Try it! The next time you find yourself being held hostage by fear. Ask the Holy Spirit (prayer) to remove the fear and replace it with a thought of helping someone else. Give it a try! You can do it and as always……Check your experience! … “At once, we commence to outgrow fear.” Big Book pg 68 Lord let us use our faith to replace the fear that tries to “divert our minds, AMEN. “…be made new in the attitude of your minds;” Ephesians 4:23 Have a blessed day y’all! www.FaithThroughWorksFellowship.org
