We gotta give in order to get… This is not only a prescription for daily living that most successful folks use, it’s also a spiritual principle. “It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.” St Francis Prayer... However, like most things that are good for us and seem easy to do, there is some “fine print” attached. Now while it makes sense that when we are helpful to others, we are usually helped in some form or fashion in return. But how about this? We also have to FORGIVE others in order to RECEIVE forgiveness! Now while that sounds like not so much fun, it truly is a freeing exercise that will release us from the bondages of anger, guilt, and resentment. Go on…give it a try….and as always, don’t believe me, but …CHECK your experience… “We go to him in a helpful and forgiving spirit, confessing our former ill feeling and expressing our regret.” Big Book pg 77 Lord, let us forgive others so that we can be free to receive forgiveness for our sins and mistakes, AMEN. “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:25 Have a blessed day y’all!
