NO Jesus...NO Peace....KNOW JESUS KNOW PEACE!..." For I am certain that nothing can separate us from His love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below - there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 Lord, I thank you for the inspiration I gain daily from watching my heroes Sandy and Dion battle cancer with their loved ones along side them with fiercely faithful hearts and wearing the armour of God through thier unfailing, never waivering faith in You. Please heal Sandy and Dion in the name and precious blood of Jesus, AMEN. "As we felt new power flow in, as we enjoyed peace of mind, as we discovered we could face life successfully, as we became conscious of His presence, we began to lose our fear of today, tomorrow or the hereafter." Big Book pg 63 Have a blessed day y'all!

Ya get whatcha give!
A great way to start our week! “Give and it will be
given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken
together, and running over.” LUKE 6:38 Lord, please help me to treat, honor,
and respect others the same way I wish to be treated no matter what, AMEN. “Love and tolerance of others is our code.”
Big Book pg 84 Have a blessed week y’all! Eat right, exercise, and learn from
the WORD! How is your “SERVE”?!?
In the City
When Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God, he upset
power-hungry religious scholars by turning their value system upside down. He
described the poor, the marginalized, the mourning and the persecuted as
"blessed," and he taught his followers to love and serve the down and
out.
Mountain Park seeks to live out these kingdom values by sharing
the Gospel and serving the poor and underprivileged in Phoenix and in the most
God-starved parts of the world.
You can help us reach out to our community by serving at a REACH
event (see upcoming events at left), or dare to volunteer on your own or with
your d.group or
family at one of the organizations listed below.

"Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established." Proverbs 16:3 Lord, thank You for all the blessings we receive through serving You by helping others, AMEN. Family Promise Week starts this Sunday!
"Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God." Romans 12:2 Lord thank You for transforming me daily. Please help me to continue to seek and do Your will and not be tricked by my own selfish self will, AMEN. "...saying to ourselves many times each day “Thy will be done.” We are then in much less danger of excitement, fear, anger, worry, self-pity, or foolish decisions." Big Book pg 88 Eat right, exercise, and be of service! Have a blessed day y'all!
Family Promise Week starts Sunday! Are you in?
For the week of June 10-17, Mountain Park is partnering with Family Promise to provide shelter to homeless families. The mission of the Family Promise initiative is to love and serve our neighbors by providing hot meals and a safe place to sleep, while they work hard to regain their housing, their independence, and their dignity. We need volunteers (that's where you come in) to prepare and serve the meals and also to make sure the families have what they need during their stay at MPCC.
This serving opportunity is excellent for families and small groups. It could also be a great way to meet people if you're new to Mountain Park.

She is growing up
It seems like only yesterday that Tami and I took Kai to start Kindergarten and only let her see us smiling and happy as she began her school career. Thank goodness she did not see our tears after we dropped her off and realized our little gift from God was growing up. Today Kai ends 8th grade and prepares to enter high school. I am pretty sure as we celebrate this achievement and right of passage with her today, she will see her parents now familiar tears of joy, love, and realization that their baby girl is becoming a young woman. We love you Kai and and are so proud of you and we are blessed that God chose us to raise and guide you. "Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master." Ephesians 6:4 Lord, please continue to use me to lead, guide, and direct toward Your truth, grace, and love as she continues her journey, AMEN. "And it means, of course, that we are going to talk about God." Big Book pg 88 Have a blessed day y'all! Congratulations to the graduates and thier families!
